Nine Book Challenge!
The Big Summer Read is a fun annual activity which encourages children to read for pleasure during the summer months and aims to maintain reading levels during school holidays.
Big Summer Read 2024 is a Nine Book Challenge were each child aged between five and eleven years old will be challenged to read nine books during the nine weeks of July and August.
I have attached copies of the Summer Reading Challenge Tracker Card and the Certificate that will be awarded at the end of the summer.
The tracker cards will be available at the issue desk when the pupil starts the summer reading challenge.
Tracker cards will be stamped by librarians when the books are returned to the library.
I do hope you will encourage your students to read 1 book per week and visit Enniskillen Library during the summer.
I have also attached a copy of Enniskillen Library’s “What’s On” programme for July.
There are many activities organised for July that your pupils and their families might like to attend.
I would really appreciate you bringing our programme of activities to the attention of the families at your school.
